Since Open Press at the University of Galway was introduced ten OER projects won funding from the Student Project fund. Altogether €20,000 was awarded for OER projects, yielding €45,000 student cost savings per annum. The estimate of student cost savings per year is determined based on the average number of students enrolled in each course and the cost of the learning resources being replaced by the OER. Also, in addition to student cost savings there are many other benefits of OER. Some of the OERs created using Open Press at the University of Galway are listed below:
