We are developing a new module for SH233. I work on children’s fiction because I have been researching, translating and creating children's cultural products, as in oriented for or created by children - as per the UNESCO definition of children and young adults under 18 years of age.
During this summer and autumn, as the course is a Semester II module, I will embark on creating the shell and the learning materials for our course on Blackboard, including online assessments and rubrics. I will be creating the course in Spanish but since it is a second year module, I would like to be able to offer translations of the materials into English and captions of the videos that I will create and/or adapt and develop for this it.
I have been a Lecturer at NUI Galway since 2006. I hold a postgraduate masters of Education in English, and graduated with BA in English Philology at University of Valladolid, Spain. NUI Galway is also my alma mater as I graduated with an MA Spanish with a focus on translation here, only gaining a Ph.D. in Language Teaching and Learning later in 2013 with University of Valladolid, Spain.
