Note: Elsevier recommends that you run your search string line-by-line using the basic search when using large string queries, especially ones containing multiple operators and proximity operators.

Upcoming Changes to Boolean Operator Precedence (Fall 2025/Early 2026)  

Starting in late 2025, Scopus will gradually update Boolean operator precedence to align with the current industry standards and finalise the update in early 2026.
