Scholarly journals typically contain articles written by academics or professional researchers.   Peer reviewed journals contain articles which have been reviewed and approved by recognised experts in particular subject areas.

Review papers or articles present a comprehensive review of the existing body of knowledge in a specific subject or topic. Review papers can be very useful for locating the core literature in a particular subject area.

Copies of printed journals for Law and Human Rights are located on the first floor of the Main Library.  However, the vast majority of our journals for Law and Human Rights are available electronically rather than in print

The Library Catalogue will link you to the electronic version of a journal. Unfortunately some journal titles on Westlaw and Lexis+ do not integrate with the Library catalogue though we do try and link on an individual basis.

The Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations is a very useful resource for locating full titles of journals and reports.
