Editing a reference style in EndNote e.g. Harvard style surnames

.

You will notice that the Harvard style produces author’s surnames that are all capitalised. You can modify this style from all Uppercase to Normal:

 
  1. In EndNote make sure the output style is active

  1. Click Edit and then Output Styles
  2. Click Edit “Harvard”
  3. Click on File and then Save As and give the style a new name eg Harvard University of Galway. Click save
  4. In the Bibliography section, click Author Name
  5. In the Capitalization drop down box change from All Uppercase to Normal
  6. In Word select your saved Harvard style to effect the change to Normal.
