360 degree videos are also known as spherical videos, or omnidirectional videos. They are created by recording videos or creating virtual environments in which every angle of the scene is visible. Colloquially, it is not uncommon to hear them referred to as VR videos. However, the key difference is that in a VR experience, you are an active participant who can shape the virtual experience. In 360 degree video, you are a spectator.
