If there are no copies of the book(s) available, suggest the Library buys the book, submit an Inter Library Loans request, or search Google Books.
Please note that while the Library endeavours to provide access to all recommended reading material, students are expected to purchase core textbooks.
Note: you will receive an email from the Library when the print / e-book is available. Print books normally arrive within 21 working days. E-books are available within 3 working days.

Requests for recurrent subscriptions such as journals/databases must come from academic staff. Authorisation from the head of school may also be required.
Our ability to purchase subscriptions in particular has been limited in recent years due to ongoing cuts to the Library’s Information Resource budget. As a result there is currently an embargo on new journal and database subscriptions.
Please forward any journal or database requests to acquisitions@universityofgalway.ie where we will hold details pending an improvement in our budgetary situation.
